    BL Companies is looking to hire a Project Engineer with experience as a Mechanical, Civil, or Utilities engineer to support our growing Norwood, MAEnergy Department.

    BL provides engineering services to both public and private clients, such as utilities, commercial facilities, and academic institutions.


    This position will support the collaborative development of all project deliverables, including conceptual design sketches, detailed construction drawings, and installation procedures, initially within the natural gas industry.

    Knowledge of CAD and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.


    Responsibilities Include:
    Develop pipeline layout drawings including existing conditions and proposed components

    Develop pressure regulating facilities and other natural gas infrastructure components (main line valves, launchers/receivers, etc.)

    Prepare installation procedures per client standards

    Review project deliverables and provide increasing direction to Staff engineers

    Coordinate with project team across multiple offices on design, permitting and construction components.

    Prepare technical reports and plans to acquire permits and permit modifications during construction.

    BSCE/BSME and EIT required. PE or working toward PE preferred.

    Required Experience:

    2 to 6 years experience in production of conceptual design sketches and detailed construction drawings

    Knowledge of ASME/Industry codes and standards

    Proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D required

    BSCE required. EIT Certification preferred. PE preferred

    Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
