Java Developer job in Schaumburg IL - Spring - Vertex Group

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, document, integrate, test, and deliver scripts, code, and other services employing agile DevOps project life-cycle methodologies, processes, and procedures in an AWS cloud environment.
2. Analyze the new requirements as well as gather and validate technical and functional requirements by engaging with client business stakeholders.
3. Set and adhere to software coding best practices and style guides to ensure consistency.
4. Participate in code reviews using tools like Git and GitLab.
5. Support and troubleshoot problems with existing applications.
6. Assist developers in applying best practices to ensure fully working test, training, and production environments using GitLab-CI, Docker, and AWS tools and technologies.
7. Build a dynamic and productive development organization and continuously improve practices and methodology.
8. Implement and maintain end-to-end security with AWS and ensure best practices for application security.
9. Design, build, and maintain monitoring and testing infrastructure for our systems.

This position has no direct reports and does not supervise any other personnel.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s).

No Travel; No Telecommuting. Position is project-based on long-term assignments at various unanticipated worksites within the U.S., and relocation may be needed at the end of each long-term project.
