    Summary:


    The Associate Director, Launch Management will play a key role delivering and embedding a capability for executing launches within the BMS portfolio.

    This role resides in the central Launch Excellence team and deliver project and program management in a matrix environment, working with brand teams to deliver their launches against the Launch Excellence framework.

    The Associate Director, Launch Management will provide expert guidance to brand teams ensuring effective utilization of the Launch Excellence Playbook capability to delivering elevated efficiency and transparency to BMS launches.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide expert launch and project management partnership and consultation to brand launch teams. Deliver a fit-for-purpose application of the standard playbook, and support execution against this playbook.

    Create and maintain launch team project plan and activities including elements such as RAID log, Risk/Issue mitigation, weekly/monthly team status updates, launch team organization chart, collaboration site/data repository, timelines

    Lead launch kickoff, strategic planning sessions, act as thought partner with brand lead and S&O partner


    Partner with launch team stakeholders to ensure lessons learned, best practices, and key performance indicators are captured and regularly incorporated into central launch excellence repository for continuous improvement.


    Engage and energize the launch teams to ensure optimal performance and proactively remove obstacles to drive launch project team momentum and progress.

    Acts as a point of escalation for launch team members and key stakeholders.

    Contributes to the ongoing development and implementation of the new launch methodology framework driving alignment of cross functional workstreams

    Embed and evolve the companywide Launch Excellence framework which reflects a new and changing environment ensuring a companywide consistent approach to brand launches

    Inform functional and technical documentation for the new launch management tool

    Track launch resource forecasting to inform resource allocation and opportunities to flex resources

    Inform the development of and help deliver the PM launch training, dynamic interactive brand playbook, and tools development


    Provide tool training, mentorship and expert guidance to contracted Launch Management team and brand team internal project managers, sharing lessons and elevating team competency.


    May lead large complex initiatives, collaborating with business leadership and managing launch delivery across therapeutic teams and branching US and globally.


    Provides technical support, training, guidance and facilitation on the dynamic brand playbook tools, working with key stakeholders and end users.


    Qualifications:


    Minimum of 7 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical commercial project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years of commercial launch experience.

    Global experience preferred.

    Minimum 10 years project management experience with complex, matrixed organizations

    PMP preferred

    Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and programs

    Product launch project

    management/leadership

    experience required.

    Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority, managing stakeholder expectations at all levels in a matrixed global environment while maximizing business value

    Entrepreneurial mindset. Self-starter who can operate in an environment with little/no direction

    Ability to foster a collaborative environment and creating a strong rapport

    Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills

    Excellent communication skills, prepare senior management updates.

    Experience with workshop facilitation, and data gathering and synthesis

    Must have significant experience in creating a project plan, constructing timelines, projections, and risk/issue facilitation in a process-oriented organization.
