    Occupational Therapist - Kelso, WA

    We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team for the school year. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of K-12th grade students. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting student success by providing occupational therapy services to support students' participation in educational activities and promote independence and inclusion.

    Job Description:
    As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping our students achieve their full potential by addressing barriers to learning and participation through occupational therapy interventions. You will provide services to students, as well as supervision and support to COTAs, while collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited school
    • Must have active Washington OT license
    • Previous experience working in schools or with children preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conducting assessments to evaluate students' motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities related to participation in school activities.
    • Developing individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, families, and educational team members.
    • Providing direct occupational therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions, to address students' needs and facilitate skill development.
    • Collaborating with teacher, special education staff, and other professional to support the implementation of accommodations and modifications to promote students' access to the curriculum and classroom participation.
    • Providing consultation and training to school staff, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to support students' functional abilities and independence across school environments.
    • Maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, progress, and communication with stakeholders.
