- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate structural components for pile driving equipment.
- Perform various welding processes, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), to join heavy steel materials effectively.
- Operate welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, grinders, and cutting torches, safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of components prior to welding, utilizing clamps, jigs, and fixtures as necessary.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to identify defects, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete penetration, and make necessary repairs.
- Adhere to welding procedures and specifications, including preheating, post-weld heat treatment, and welding parameters, to meet quality and structural integrity requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members, including fabricators, machinists, and engineers, to optimize production processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of welding consumables and equipment, and adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a Structural Welder, with a focus on heavy steel fabrication and pile drive manufacturing.
- Proficiency in various welding processes.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards.
- Ability to operate welding equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds with minimal rework.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Summary:
