    Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Analyst to own Website reporting, measurement, and analysis across the AWS website.

    As a Business Analyst for the AWS Marketing Website, you will play a leading role in identifying actionable insights for AWS marketers. You will have the opportunity to improve the website experience for our customers by creating a data-driven approach to measuring content quality, and partnering with Digital Specialists, SEO, Design, Product Managers and Marketers to develop, implement, and measure website initiatives.

    The AWS Website is complex. Although we do report weekly on common web KPIs such as traffic, engagement and conversion, as we evolve into a more journey focused and customer centric site, we must consider exploring non-standard KPIs. We are looking for a highly analytical person with enterprise level experience that identifies relevant website insights across a matrixed organization. A successful candidate will be an advocate for web analytics best practices and well-versed in what it takes to measure website performance for a multi-thousand page, high-traffic, global marketing website that is localized throughout the world. This role requires a proven track record in developing reporting, a deep understanding of web metrics and commonly used third-party platforms, analytical skills to identify risks and opportunities, and interpersonal and project management skills to harness the passion and energy of teams across AWS to deliver content to our customers.

    This role can be in Seattle, WA or Atlanta, GA. Amazon will offer relocation to anywhere with a corporate office in the United States.

    Key job responsibilities

    Working with AWT Digital Specialists, Marketers and our key marketing stakeholder teams to understand business goals, , and provide insights and reporting on how AWS customers engage with our marketing websites.

    Enhancing existing marketing measurement and design KPIs to best measure marketing effectiveness

    Investigating and conducting deep dives into data across the website and potentially other marketing channels (email, social, paid media, etc.) to understand customer engagement and analyze behaviors throughout the customer journey.

    Proactively explaining the why in addition to the what while educating business stakeholders on insights.

    Analyzing, tracking and reporting on overall site performance, using data to report out progress on key initiatives with insights that will shape future web content strategy.

    Creating reports and mechanisms to ensure AWS website content adheres to reporting and analytics best practices.

    Educating marketers and content authors on best practices for developing website KPIs and reporting.

    Maintaining documentation and articles that educate the organization on best practices for measuring website performance.

    *Writing compelling narratives from data analysis to illuminate marketing impacts and customer behaviors, enhancing strategic decision-making and storytelling in marketing initiatives

    Tracking and analyzing key metrics like conversion, retention and CTAs including MQLs, SQLs, revenue

    non-brand traffic and combined search (paid and organic) performance.

    Basic Qualifications

    Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

    Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

    Preferred Qualifications

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
