    Talis Group's company client is seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team in supporting civil defense litigation attorneys.

    Position Overview:
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to managing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a renowned firm and work on high-profile civil defense cases.
    • Will consider both full time and part time applicants for this role.
    • Position is on site.
    Highlighted Responsibilities:
    • Provide administrative support to civil defense litigation attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
    • Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests in accordance with court rules and deadlines.
    • Assist with document management, including organizing and maintaining electronic and physical files.
    • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation matters.
    • Conduct legal research and compile case-related information as needed.
    • Assist with billing tasks, including time entry and invoicing.
    • Other administrative duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the legal team.
    Highlighted Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary or similar role, preferably in civil defense litigation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software (e.g., case management systems).
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
    • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
    • Knowledge of Kentucky court rules and procedures is preferred but not required.
