    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Safely facilitates the movement of finished and unfinished material through the manufacturing and production process

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Reviews work orders or follows verbal instructions to move pallets and containers from machines.
    Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
    Moves material from storage or work sites to designated areas.
    Ensures that operators have all the raw material to operate their equipment.
    Stacks and assembles materials into bundles.
    Bands bundles.
    Removes empty pallets from equipment.
    Performs duties of Shipper/Receiver, as assigned.
    Performs other duties as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     Must be a trained and qualified forklift operator.
    Ability to communicate in English.
    Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, and counting.
    Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features of the equipment.
    Knowledge of products manufactured or warehoused at the plant.


    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
    One year of similar work experience
