    Job Summary:

    We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to play a key role in our finance department. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, acting as the primary liaison with our outsourced accounting team and CPA firm, coordinating the financial statement review, and coordinating the preparation of tax returns. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

    Requirements

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for our outsourced accounting team, facilitating effective communication and coordination of financial activities.
    • Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Collaborate closely with the CPA firm in coordinating the financial statement review and preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance documents.
    • Assist the FP&A Manager in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
    • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the FP&A Manager's attention.
    • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
    • Provide input into department's goal setting process.
    • Prepare documentation for external auditors and participate in audits.
    • Keep abreast of latest developments in accounting regulations and best practices.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax returns.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various departments and external partners.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is preferred.
    • Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or related industry.
    Additional Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    • You will adhere to the Company's Information Security Policy and Procedures and support standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
    • You will alert management immediately of any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
    • You will be required to attend an annual Information Security Awareness Training.
    Salary Description

    $75000 annually
