- Underwrite large, global commercial real estate mortgage transactions and structured financings (warehouse and other asset-backed financings)
- Perform transaction/counterparty reviews, including recommending appropriate internal risk rating for each counterparty and setting credit limits
- Coordinate with business, legal and other teams to fully analyze transactions and ensure appropriate documentation, risk mitigants, and limits to minimize defaults and maximize recoveries
- Represent CRM on deal structuring discussions
- Draft deal memoranda, expressing and supporting CRM's recommendations
- Present credit views in meetings with senior management and committee members; Escalate issues to CRM senior management
- Monitor the performance of loans in the portfolio, including adherence to terms and covenants, and help formulate risk-mitigating strategies as necessary
- Detect and escalate notable industry trends and recommend appropriate action to senior management
- Monitor and manage exposure at the facility, product, and portfolio levels; perform sector analysis regularly in order to assess portfolio concentrations and trends

OVERVIEW
The Risk Division is a team of specialists charged with managing the firms risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firms counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firms success. The division is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.
Credit Risk (CR) is responsible for managing the firms credit exposure to its lending and trading counterparties. Credit professionals protect the firms capital by using in-depth knowledge of our clients, markets, and products to make decisions on acceptable level of risk appetite. Staffed with ~300 professionals, Credit Risk operates through 11 different offices around the world. Credit Risk provides a unique opportunity to develop a variety of professional skills and expertise in risk management while working on financial transactions and gaining a broad perspective on how the entire firm functions. The interaction with numerous departments and the range of projects allow for a challenging, varied and multi-dimensional work environment
