Responsibilities:
Supports the global Plant Manager and the Operations Manager and plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes within Gaskets NA.
That includes and is not limited to:
Supports the Plant Manager in the definition and tracking of annual targets and projects to meet and implement supply chain strategies aligned with overall business targets.
Leads a team of purchasing specialists and ensures on-time availability of raw materials and indirect material.
Leads a team of planners and SAP specialists and consistently optimizes and harmonizes processes within the Manchester facility to best support operations.
Connects to all relevant corporate functions especially SCM, Procurement and Customer Service.Leads the warehouse and the material handling group and ensures timely and efficient service.
Executes and manages special projects for the Manchester site and within North America such as warehouse move and business relocations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
5-7 years' experience or 2-year degree with 10+ year experience in SCM
Deep understanding of an SAP ERP System in all SCM/production related processes. Apply and explain.
LEAN spirit, able to moderate and structure
People Management
Ability to build strong partnerships between internal and external organizations to achieve targeted goals – Networker, solid teamwork and relationship building required.
CustomerService/Marketing/Sales
account management experience with an emphasis on manufacturing
Min. 5-year experience in team leading function > 10.
Strong verbal and written communications skills with emphasis on telephone skills
