    The SOF GLSS contract is U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services.

    The Program Executive Office of the Special Operations Forces Support Activity (PEO SOFSA) oversees the contract; and, under its direction, Lockheed Martin conducts its day-to-day operations, providing the full range of logistics services required to support the SOF community.

    From design to disposal, Lockheed Martin executes sustainment and life cycle management of Global supply chain of parts, warehouses and depots; Aircraft, vehicle and equipment repair, maintenance and modifications; and Critical infrastructure support and business process transformation.

    Together, PEO SOFSA and Lockheed Martin provide one-stop service for agile, innovative, on-demand depot-like services to SOCOM components and other U.S.

    Government entities that support SOCOM's missions worldwide. The SOF GLSS IDIQ contract is currently has a 10 year, $8B ceiling due expire in 2027.

    The follow-on acquisition has been initiated by USSOCOM with preliminary valuation of $8B-$10B with a period of performance expected to be 10-12 years.

    This position is for an experienced Capture Manager who will act as a Deputy Capture Lead in support of the SOF GLSS IDIQ follow-on competition, providing leadership and support to the Program Management, Business Development (BD), Executive Leadership, and the Capture Team with capture process expertise and leadership.

    The successful candidate will assist in the development and ensure consistent implementation of the SOF GLSS Win Plan and CPS-009 [New Business Opportunity Management], provide strategic guidance, mentoring, and facilitation to the capture team and across the corporation.

    Specific job requirements include but are not limited to:


    • Reporting to the Capture Director, establishing close working relationships with SOF GLSS VP, Deputy VP, Mission Area Directors, S&BD leadership, and the balance of the capture team for early issue identified and resolution
    • Working with BD and Capture teams in the crafting and shaping of win strategies, including but not limited to win strategy workshops, "Art of the Deal" workshops, and mentoring the cross-functional capture team personnel
    • Training others to effectively perform win plan activities and develop capture process artifacts
    • Leading Customer Value Proposition (CVP) workshops, win strategy workshops and Color Team Reviews (Gold, Blue, Pink and Red)
    • Providing and training others to perform critical capture assistance and capture health checks
    • Providing expertise as required to support corporate training and win plan events
    • Supporting capture process improvement initiatives for SOF GLSS and championing positive change throughout the capture process. *This is a virtual position. The SOF GLSS program is based out of Lexington, KY. Travel will be required as part of the role, but daily work will be conducted virtually.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience as a capture manager on competitive opportunities
    • Thorough understanding and execution of the CPS-009 [New Business Opportunity Management] Capture Process
    • Experience developing a CPS-009 compliant capture plan.
    • Current knowledge of the DoD services environment and acquisition process.
    • Experience to offer BD and capture advice and mentoring to BD and capture leads
    • Team player and team builder
    • Self-starter; successful multi-tasker; and highly organized
    • Experience driving projects to completion
    • Ability and experience working well with all levels of the organization, up to and including Senior Executives
    • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams
    • Effective communication skills, to include verbal, written, and interpersonal
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing/shifting priorities
    • Secret Security Clearance
    • Ability to travel when required

    Desired Skills:

    • An established network of partners and stakeholders within USSOCOM services
    • Experience working as a Capture Manager or Deputy Capture manager on a 'services' competition >$1B.
    • History of successfully leading LM competitive capture teams of all sizes through the CPS-009 process
    • Experience evaluating Price to Win (PtW) targets in a competitive 'services' environment and experience competing with Large and Medium sized service companies.
    • Completion of the LM Capture Management Institute (CMI) or Business Development Leadership Program (BDLP).
    • Team player - builds effective customer, team, and partner relationships
    • History of organizing and motivating a diverse set of managers and engineers to act as "one" in the pursuit of common. objectives.
    • Demonstrated ability to negotiate to a positive outcome with multiple stakeholders.
    • Ability to clearly articulate strategy to both internal and external organizations.

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $168,800 - $318,000.

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $146,800 - $281,400 .

    Non-represented full-time employees:

    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
