RN Emergency Room FT Evenings Position Summary

Provides direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities
- Implements and oversees patient care plans.
- Acts as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Executes physician and nursing orders.
- Evaluates and organizes patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Conducts assessments using a systematic approach to gather and analyze data about a patient, considering various factors beyond just physiological data.

- Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population

- Problem Identification - Involves the nurse's clinical judgment regarding the patient's response to health conditions or needs.
- Planning and Outcomes - Sets measurable and achievable goals based on assessment and problem identification, collaborating with the patient and family.

- Establishing daily goals with the patient and family
- Developing a care plan
- Planning for transition or discharge

- Implementation - Ensures continuity of care for the patient according to the care plan, with proper documentation.

- Ensuring patient safety

THE RN EMERGENCY ROOM FT EVENINGS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
License Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within 30 days.
Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Certification Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or others as specified by the department.

EDUCATION
Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
