Job summary
The purpose of this classification is to perform specialized duties to facilitate federal state and local elections.There are two positions available on the supply team at the Cobb County Elections Office in the Prep Center.
- May assist in the hiring and training of seasonal staff assigning and monitoring work coordinating their activities resolving conflicts and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
- e.g.Trains new workers on the elections process Responds to inquiries Assists with the coordination of election activities Stays up to date with local state and federal election laws and codes Provides customer service answers questions regarding an election preparation Maintains inventory of election equipment supplies office supplies updates inventories after each election maintains inventory needed for day-to-day work activities Plans executes delivery ensures all necessary signs supplies equipment provided polling site Election Recap Sheets other evidence audited retained required Assists developing delivery collection schedule Prepares gathers stages various supplies tools physical strength forklift conducts loading unloading return Inspects returning repairing damaged contacts vendor performs pre post day-of-election duties Preparing materials utilizing checklists sort count gather collate inspect verify spreadsheets reports information sources Reports machine computer problems tests troubleshoots voting equipment assists Logic Accuracy testing voting equipment Performs related assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED supplemented by one more years customer service experience Georgia elections processing knowledge Georgia elections law desirable MS Office suite experience desirable Physical Abilities Tasks involve moderately demanding performance climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling lifting carrying pushing pulling objects pounds may occasionally heavier objects materials Environmental Factors Essential functions regularly performed without exposure adverse conditions EEO Statement Equal opportunity employer encourage applications qualified individuals regardless race color national origin sex religion age disability legally protected status Benefits part-time employees marked.
