    Your Opportunity:

    Our client is actively seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Construction Manager to join our growing Transportation practice. The successful candidate will work on challenging and diverse tasks in a consulting and construction management role that will require application of technical skills, project delivery, and leadership for construction projects.

    The Construction Manager is the responsible party and provides leadership to their respective team and works specifically with the IndyGo Blue Line Management. The Construction Manager will regularly discuss contract-related activities that have an impact on the construction Projects. The Construction Manager must understand how these activities may affect other contracts including lessons learned.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing assigned REs in the performance of their duties with emphasis in particular on integrated project delivery in accordance with scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
    • Engaging contractor leadership and management as needed to address issues and concerns affecting delivery in acollaborative manner.
    • Supporting the overall interface of the project components in support of the successful completion of the project.
    • Supporting IndyGo Blue Line, as needed, in the monthly FTA Project Management Oversight Contractor (PMOC)meetings as a Senior Manager contributing to the successful delivery of the overall Project.
    • Managing the individual construction project closeout through completion.
    • Reviewing the Contractor's contract document submittals for compliance with contract requirements prior to incorporation into the work by the Contractor.
    • Focused on driving the construction to completion per approved costs and schedules.
    • Consistently maintain client satisfaction that results in potential opportunities and excellent Company references.
    • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: Your Capabilities and Credentials

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Possess good organizational skills.
    • Ability to make decisions on projects based on the design criteria of engineering.
    • Self-starter can work independently and knows how to get along with contractors on a project site.
    • Construction management training preferred.
    • Good driving record and valid driver's license required

    Education and Experience:

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required
    • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience managing major transportation construction contracts linear roadway and transit projects, stations, and civil construction as a resident engineer or construction manager for transit construction projects in structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, and systems
    • Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer license preferred; CCM or PMP certification desired.
    • Position will primarily work in an office setting; fi eld work and/or coordination will be required.
    • Candidates from outside of the Indianapolis area will be tasked to relocate to the Indianapolis area.
