    Electrical Preconstruction Manager - Mission Critical

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Electrical Preconstruction Manager is
    responsible for providing estimating services for procuring work through the
    leadership of the Director of Preconstruction. This role should have a strong
    communication and collaboration skill set to be able to work closely with
    design team partners, specifically electrical engineers. Products
    delivered include budgets, estimates, subcontracts, and pre-construction
    services. The PreCon Manager - Electrical will provide subject matter expertise
    to all Manhattan Construction locations and must be a flexible and adaptable
    team player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

    MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Strong skillset
      in Conceptual estimating skills for all facets of the electrical scope of
      work
    • Ability to read
      design narratives and collaborate with engineers on design
      assumptions
    • Ability to
      utilize all software tools available (i.e. Assemble, Building Connected,
      On-Screen Take-off, Procore, Estimating Software, etc.)
    • Assist in the
      development of bid strategies for electrical aspects of projects
    • Create
      subcontractor solicitation lists and ensure coverage on all scopes of work
    • Deliver
      preconstruction services (constructability review, system analysis, cost
      options value management, etc.)
    • Perform select
      quantity take off, pricing, site visits, pre-bid meetings, and review of
      the bid form
    • Review
      electrical tab sheets prior to bid date and bid level the subcontractor
      quotes for complete scope/price
    • Bid level the
      electrical subcontractor results for complete scope/price
    • Assist in
      negotiating mechanical subcontracts and purchasing of all major aspects of
      the project
    • Develop
      electrical assumptions and clarifications for owner deliverables
    • Collaborate
      with the pursuit / project teams throughout the purchasing electrical
      aspects of the project
    • Assistance in
      electrical guidance
    • Assist in the
      development of electrical budgets
    • Represent
      Manhattan at Industry Events
    • Participate in
      internal preconstruction training
    • Other duties as
      assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree - Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent
    • 12 years of electrical industry experience
    • Experience with hyperscale mission critical construction
