    The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety at our LaGrange, Georgia facilities.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
    Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.

    Develop strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs. This will primarily be through

    process efficiency improvements and waste reduction.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    Implement continuous improvement initiatives.

    Read and interpret schematics and equipment manuals to direct required maintenance and

    service.

    Utilize maintenance software to document improvements and for scheduling of recurring activities.

    Communicate with operations management team and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance repairs and improvements.

    Comply with and enforce company safety policies.


    Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.


    WHAT WE NEED

    EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
    Preferred Bachelor's Degree in related field (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc.)

    Driver License in good standing

    5+ years industrial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

    Minimal travel required. Less than 5%


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Extensive technical skills.

    Adept with spreadsheet/database use for data analysis.

    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.

    Flexibility and willingness to work within frequently changing priorities.

    Must be able to effectively manage time by organizing and planning work.

    Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.

    Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work extended hours as needed.

    Strong attention to detail.

    Ability to lead and manage employees, both direct and indirect reports.
