    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Principal Engineer/Architect to lead the integration of public and private cloud infrastructure. This role will focus on assessing, supporting, developing, and implementing high-quality information technology architecture while establishing robust technology governance and standards.

    Responsibilities:

    Architecture Design and Deployment:

    · Provide strategic vision and thought leadership for our DevOps platform, aligning with internal teams and leadership.

    · Design and implement complex cloud architectures emphasizing high availability, resilience, and scalability.

    · Lead migration efforts of legacy systems to the cloud, ensuring a smooth transition.

    · Optimize cloud resources to improve performance and cost efficiency, leveraging relevant tools.

    Security and Compliance:

    · Architect solutions compliant with industry-specific regulatory standards.

    · Implement and manage security tools and practices to fortify the infrastructure.

    DevOps Automation:

    · Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using relevant tools.

    · Automate deployment, scaling, and management of applications using cloud services.

    Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

    · Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud resources using relevant tools.

    · Ensure business continuity through robust disaster recovery strategies.

    Collaboration and Leadership:

    · Act as a cloud advocate within the organization.

    · Collaborate with IT and business teams to align cloud architecture with organizational goals.

    · Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and engineers.

    Experience:

    · Minimum 5 years' experience delivering technical solutions in cloud environments.

    · Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, highly available systems.

    · Experience with documentation of governance and workflows in cloud environments.

    Technical Skills:

    · Expert knowledge of cloud services and architectures.

    · Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools.

    · Deep understanding of network architectures and data services for cloud environments.

    · Experience with enterprise migrations to cloud environments.

    Soft Skills:

    · Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

    · Excellent communication and leadership qualities.

    Education:

    · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

    Certifications:

    · AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.

    · AWS Certified Security - Specialty (preferred).
