Position: Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable

FT/PT Status: Full-Time Employment

Location: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)

Education: Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field.

Overview:

Kreative Technologies is looking for a passionate Accounts Payable Specialist to collaborate closely with our Accounting Manager/Controller in handling operational accounting needs.

The perfect candidate should be eager to learn new tasks with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities:

Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable
Review invoices for accuracy, obtain approvals, enter information into the accounting system, disburse payments
Ensure weekly check runs
Prepare and process ACH file for approval by Accounting Manager/Controller
Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices for payment
Setup and maintain employees in ADP workforce
Record Credit Card transactions
Ensure accurate record-keeping for internal and external review and compliance
Analyze expenditure trends and provide reports promptly
Allocate costs according to accounting policies; analyze and report variances
Setup projects and new hires in Unanet
Assist with Payroll process by approving timesheets, posting labor in Unanet, and importing data in ADP

Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
Must possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Must be proactive with effective communication skills
Thorough understanding of GAAP, and extensive familiarity with FAR
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Knowledgeable in A/R, A/P, reconciliations, General Ledgers, Month-end closing, billing, payroll, and general accounting processes
Prior experience with Government contracts or Unanet is advantageous
