Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Sacramento, CA.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and software development with experience working with big data databases and frameworks such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics or Redshift.
Duties include designing developing optimizing data pipelines ETL processes performing data engineering tasks including modeling pipeline development cube development working relational databases schema design queries views store procedures performance optimization conducting DevOps activities code reviews testing alerting documenting retrospectives incident analysis integrating multiple sources ensuring accuracy reliability implementing managing storage solutions lakes warehouses developing models analytics purposes collaborating analysts consultants agencies deliver actionable insights participating kick-off meetings progress reporting work authorizations final report preparation managing coordinating subcontractor activities ensure security compliance governance standards preparing submitting deliverables project schedules contributing public confidential reporting required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Computer Science Data Engineering related field 5 years relevant experience engineering software other roles Strong understanding database management systems architecture design principles relational non-relational distributed systems Broad experience building pipelines collaboration diverse stakeholders Personal accountability habits code reviews testing alerting documenting retrospectives incident analysis Proficiency SQL experience relational NoSQL databases Programming skills R Python Java Scala Experience visualization reporting tools Power BI Tableau etc Knowledge modeling architecture principles Supporting technical tasks deliverables energy efficiency electrification demand flexibility projectsJob description
