    Description

    The Logistics Assistant is responsible for picking and packing all domestic and international shipments and associated support functions. This position requires high attention to detail and specialized knowledge of the packing and shipping regulations for IMMY's products in all destination countries.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Accurately Pick, Pack and Prepare Product for Carrier Pickup

    • Responsible for properly picking and packing product to ship per specifications in a timely manner, including cold chain items
    • Ensure all shipping documents and labels are properly placed on shipment and arrange shipments in correct areas per carrier
    • Professional communication with carrier drivers
    • Confirm all international import/export documentation requirements prior to dispatch of shipments and verifies accurate documentation
    • High-level to detail on customer order requests
    • Assist with ship confirmations
    Assist with Internal and External Communications
    • Coordinate with Order Processing department for information and documents needed for orders
    • Maintains inbound warehouse phone calls
    • Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management
    • Assist in maintaining accurate finished goods inventory and communicate any adjustments as needed
    Organize and Maintain Shipping Material Inventory and Work Area
    • Organize shipping area
    • Monitor and maintain supply of shipping materials required to execute all shipping activities
    • Assist with finished good label printing as needed
    • Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work
    Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED
    • High attention to detail and ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day
    • Must maintain hazardous materials shipping certification
    • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Knowledge and understanding of basic and international shipping methods
    • Understanding of and ability to pack and process hazardous materials and cold chain products
    • Knowledge of IATA, DOT, UN-Packaging shipping, storage, and import requirements
