- Authorizing the expenditure of funds against a budget in order to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Reviewing recommended buys and making adjustments to data elements in AMMIS in order to ensure adequate material is kept in stock or in the repair pipeline.
- Initiating procurement actions for the purchase and/or repair of components or parts based on demand history, stock position, reorder points and lead-time.
- Coordinating with engineering personnel to initiate action to identify a source or develop new sources for problem items or no quote from vendors.

Duties
The incumbent performs regular and recurring duties on an assigned group of non-complex aircraft parts and/or components in support of the Coast Guard aviation program categorized as meeting one or more of the following conditions; has a low degree of technical difficulty, consumable material, low demand repairable, routine and steady demand patterns and is of a low value that has a minimal impact on the budget or overall program cost.
