    Summary



    This position is located at Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Medium Range Recovery (MRR), Product Line, MRR Supply Branch, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.



    Duties


    The incumbent performs regular and recurring duties on an assigned group of non-complex aircraft parts and/or components in support of the Coast Guard aviation program categorized as meeting one or more of the following conditions; has a low degree of technical difficulty, consumable material, low demand repairable, routine and steady demand patterns and is of a low value that has a minimal impact on the budget or overall program cost.

    Typical work assignments include:

    • Planning, expediting, forecasting, coordinating, analyzing, resolving and reporting on all supply involvement's pertaining to material or system managed.
    • Authorizing the expenditure of funds against a budget in order to accomplish assigned tasks.
    • Reviewing recommended buys and making adjustments to data elements in AMMIS in order to ensure adequate material is kept in stock or in the repair pipeline.
    • Initiating procurement actions for the purchase and/or repair of components or parts based on demand history, stock position, reorder points and lead-time.
    • Coordinating with engineering personnel to initiate action to identify a source or develop new sources for problem items or no quote from vendors.

    Duties are the same at the GS-09 level, just with more supervision or oversite. Duties become less supervised as incumbent progresses in knowledge and abilities.
