    Overview

    Lutron has an immediate opening within our Talent Development team for an experienced L&D expert to work closely with leaders and managers in our Engineering organization to grow and develop their talent. The role of the Engineering Learning Partner is based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. In this position, you will work in close partnership with our Engineering and HR Leaders to support the department's talent development needs. You will apply your L&D experience to ensure learning and training success, support the professional growth and development of the department's employees, and ensure alignment of Engineering learning solutions with the L&D strategies and philosophies of other departments and of the company.

    Responsibilities
    • Identify and assess Engineering department learning needs
    • Create and implement learning solutions that support Engineering goals & strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate L&D values, principles, and goals.
    • Work closely with Engineering Leaders and Engineering HR Business Partners, providing thought leadership and influencing the overall talent development strategy of the engineering department
    • Serve as the main point of continuity and the liaison, between the Engineering function and our corporate learning function (i.e., Lutron University); providing alignment between Engineering-specific learning demands/goals and the broader company learning & development strategy.
    • Support the effectiveness and efficiency of the Engineering junior talent development program targeting Engineering's new, entry-level employees (i.e., In our Engineering department, Lutron has created a high visibility/impact development program for our new college graduate employees to accelerate their onboarding and growth). In this role, you will help ensure that the program is successful in its objectives.
    • Drive continuous improvement in development plans, learning solutions, and content through evaluation and analysis.
    • Implement a discipline of evaluation of program impact and customer satisfaction.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0
    • At least 7 years of experience in learning & development roles
    • Solid understanding of how adults acquire and retain skills & knowledge as well as curriculum and instructional design
    • Experience and understanding of the fundamentals of Performance Consulting - determining and prioritizing the most important issues to work on
    • Passion for learning and development and enabling change resulting in positive performance improvement and positive business outcomes
    • Strong empathy - ability to put oneself in internal customers' shoes and ask, "will this learning solution be perceived as high value by my customers?"
    • Proven communication skills and ability to influence/persuade others, gaining support for new directions and solutions
    • Proven skills in dealing with and leveraging conflict and disagreement (e.g., between department goals and corporate goals); comfortable being in the middle of conflicting demands and thrives on converging such conflict to solutions; person must have a collaborative mindset along with high resiliency
    • Ability to operate successfully driving through ambiguous, uncertain situations
    • Ability to build and cultivate strong working relationships across the Engineering department, Lutron University, and the broader Lutron community
    • Self-sufficient and highly motivated to lead work on projects as well as work as part of a larger team on important initiatives.
    • Attention to detail, even under tight deadlines
    • Strong sense of accountability and reliability
    • Can look at things with a skeptical eye and identify/anticipate "what could go wrong?"
