- Review and verify dimensions and tolerances in drawings to determine best setup and work operation sequences
- Manufacture items such as jigs, fixtures, dies, machine tools, and production tooling
- Examine work for defects and measure to ensure conformance with specifications
- Adjust machine settings as needed
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions by using TIG, brazing, and/or soldering as appropriate
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment, as well as hand and power tools
- Fabricate weldments and assemble special fixtures, tooling, and site furnishings when required
- Confer with supervisors, production personnel, programmers, engineers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Must be a certified TIG welder with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience in blueprint reading
- Ability to use machinist measuring tools
- Basic computer skills
- Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
- US Citizen for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data
