    We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position working days.

    Job Description:

    • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, we direct nursing services for the unit/hall in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.
    • We delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor their performance.
    • We observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including their general physical and mental condition, for signs that may indicate adverse change.
    • We assist with notifying attending physicians of emergencies and deaths of patients in the unit, and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
    • We perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • A high school graduate with a valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
    • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and willingness to work as charge nurses and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
    • CPR certification yearly and attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
