    Position Summary:

    Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking to fill a temporary position as a Data Scientist responsible for leading the effort to integrate wearable sensor data streams and machine learning prediction algorithms with a novel user interface in development with an additional collaborating partner. Position will also use this time to refine, as needed, the machine learning prediction algorithms to optimize their real-time performance. Finally, position will meet regularly with the collaborating applications development firm to ensure overall successful completion of the project.

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

    Demonstrated possession of competencies necessary to perform the work.

    Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

    Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity or professional-level institutional planning/assessment experience, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution.

    Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

    Candidates should have good cooperative and team skills to interface successfully with all members of the BME Department, including faculty, technical, administrative, and program development staff, and BME leadership.
