- Partner with Business Unit Actuarial, Underwriting, and Reserving functions to drive business outcomes.
- Conduct detailed pricing analysis, including rate development, rating plans, and portfolio management strategies.
- Manage and deliver trend analyses, loss development factors, and parameter updates for periodic loss ratio studies.
- Provide input into the Technical Virtuous Circle for Auto portfolios.
- Collaborate with actuarial, statistical, and IT functions to support current pricing tools.
- Lead pricing tool monitoring, including knowledge of underlying data sources, dependencies, and Power BI.
- Bolster governance and monitoring frameworks, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Support Virtuous Circle and AvE meetings across the organization.
- Offer guidance on rate filings, formal indications, and evaluation of pricing levels.
- Foster excellent communication and collaboration within and between teams.
- Participate in Finance and Underwriting decision processes, providing independent challenge.
- Lead, manage, and mentor actuarial staff, developing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and conducting mid-year and year-end performance appraisals.
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in Actuarial area plus FCAS or equivalent international certification.
- Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience in Actuarial area plus ACAS or equivalent international certification.
- Experience in Commercial Auto.
- Mastery of multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management) and strong technical skills.
- Proficiency in pricing studies: rate indications, trend studies, parameter analysis.
- Expertise with Pricing Tools, including development, deployment, and post-implementation monitoring.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey complex results to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of leading, managing, and mentoring actuarial teams.
- Strong technical knowledge and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional execution, communication, and influencing skills.
- Solution-oriented, collaborative, and conflict resolution expertise.
- Executive presence and ability to interact across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated history of driving business improvement and change in complex insurance environments.
- Strong preference for FCAS certification.
