    Job Brief:

    Management Duties:

    Performance Evaluations of Instructors

    Instructor Classroom Observations

    Supervise, evaluate, train and mentor part time evening instructor by providing guidance, support and assistance in maintaining an appropriate classroom learning environment

    • Interview prospective Instructors

    Maintain and hold Advisory Board meetings and documentation according to ASHP to ensure compliance

    Assess the professional development needs of faculty and make recommendations to fill those needs.

    • Receive and resolve student complaints
    • Duties as assigned

    Additional Responsibilities:

    Perform all Instructor duties for courses taught according to the Instructor Job Description.

    Perform all Lead Instructor duties according to the job description.

    Enforce policy and procedures as set forth by Unitech Training Academy.

    Assess the instructional needs of students in the program and coordinate the development of a plan to address these needs, i.e. independent study, students needing accommodations

    Ensure absent students are contacted with documentation both day and evening

    Ensure compliance with all state, federal, accreditation guidelines

    Coordinate the clinical experience for all students in the according to ASHP guidelines

    Student tracking

    Monitor the daily activity of Instructors and students

    Monitor the student grades/attendance on a daily basis

    Ensure that students matriculate through their programs in an appropriate manner

    Attend staff meetings, job fairs, and other organization sponsored meetings and activities

    • Ensure an effective and safe level of direct supervision of students for simulation
    • Submit department reports to the Director
    • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and ASHP accreditation guidelines
    • Maintain an adequate number of clinical sites for student rotations
    • Handle student complaints
    • Conduct staff meetings and Advisory Board meetings
    • Advise students and employees, as needed
    • Ensure daily lesson plans are utilized in the classroom
    • Substitute in classes when needed
    • Ensure that all classes have an adequate and up-to-date supplies and equipment
    • Approve field trips

    Qualifications:

    Must possess a minimum of five years of experience in pharmacy practice. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and be knowledgeable of computers. Must be a licensed pharmacist or a nationally certified pharmacy technician and must adhere to the states regulations for licensure or registration in the practice of pharmacy with a minimum of an Associates degree.
