    1. 5+ years experience with engineering and design for Veritas data protection/backup solutions (VEAM, Commvault, RUBRIK are nice to have but not required)

    2. Experience with Install, backup jobs, configure, policy, RTO/RPO, for data protection related operations & project work

    3. Strong communication/consulting skills and ability to work with peer technical team leadership

    Description:

    Job duties/Required experience:

    Experience with install and configuration for Veritas NBU and Flex appliances

    Experience with upgrades and migrations for Veritas backup solution

    Experience racking/stacking Veritas hardware


    • maintaining complex Veritas Backup Solutions which may involve Virtual libraries, Disk to Disk Backup systems, physical Tape Libraries, OS, Backup Software, Switch, SAN or Library components.


    • Supporting and troubleshooting Veritas backup, recovery and archiving in a large, complex, and widely distributed environment.


    • Experience supporting veritas protection project work


    • Analyzing daily backup failures, identifying root cause and resolving issues systematically


    • Provide status and progress reports for Veritas backup environment related activities and tasks on regular/periodic basis.


    • Plan and implement best practices for backup solutions.


    • Proactive measures to ensure adequate storage capacity is available.


    • Create and update documentation for backup procedures, solutions, licensing and applicable project artifacts.


    • Perform configuration changes as per design and build.


    • Capability to upgrade Veritas software across different versions and regular patching of Veritas environment.
