Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team.

This civil engineer will serve as a technical leader for design of flood risk reduction, water conveyance, and dam rehabilitation projects.

Providing direction during project scoping, design charette exercises and problem-solving sessionsOverseeing the assembly of design documents for construction, including constructability reviewsProviding QA/QCAttending day and night client meetings as necessaryConducting necessary travelThe successful candidate must have:A bachelors degree (or higher) in civil or geological engineering from an accredited college or universityAt least six (6) years of relevant work experiencePE license in any state with the ability to obtain in CA within 12 months of start dateThe ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:At least four (4) years of experience with technical design and development of project plans and specificationsAt least two (2) years of experience designing projects in Civil 3DKnowledge of and experience with flood risk reduction design (levees, flood walls, or dams) in CaliforniaMentoring experienceWater resources and/or hydropower project experienceUSACE, SAFCA, PG&E, and other water agency/district and utility client experienceIf you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at /careers .All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.
