- Set up, operate, or tend robotic welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
- Select, position, align, and bolt jigs, holding fixtures, guides, or stops onto machines, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Prepare metal surfaces or workpieces, using hand-operated equipment, such as grinders, cutters, or drills.
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, complete necessary welder set-up procedures and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- One year certificate from college or technical school: or three to six months related experience and/or training.
- Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a robotic welder to exact positions.
- Physically, must be able to lift up to 50lbs., bend, squat, twist, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime.
- Prompt and reliable attendance required.
