    Job Summary Essential Functions/Duties

    Evaluates system specifications, configures system, establishes standards, insures hardware / software compatibility and maintains workstations and Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating Systems for stable performance.

    Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
    Ability to build, configure, secure, maintain and manage LINUX and UNIX operating systems on enterprise computer servers and clients
    Ensures harware and software compatibility
    Installs and manages 3rd pary tools
    Knowledge of Red Hat and Solaris based server maintenace and storage systems
    Knowledge of application installations
    Working knowledge of scripting and automation
    Working knowledge of system administration on Redhat OS
    Desired Requirments
    Working knowledge on system administrative with virtualization technologies VMWare and RHV
    Knowledge of system administration with Solaris
    Knowledge of LINUX System Administration on Sun/Solaris and Dell hardware
    Ability to deploy, configure, secure, maintain and updates servers supporting Oracle databases
    Experience with Zones. Experience with scripting in Shell, Perl or Python
    Working knowledge of DNS, NFS, DHCP
    Requirements Education, Technical, and Work Experience
    Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training. Possess seven years related experience or combination of experience in computer system basics and/or related areas of expertise. Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems.

    Must have specific experience in the use of MS window server environments and various computer-aided design / computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), database, MS Office and Web enabled applications
    Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines
    Employee is expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments
    Must be capable of updating or repairing computer systems
    Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
    Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.
    The expected salary range for this position is $72,800

    to $124,800

    annually.

    Working Conditions
    This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards.
