    Description

    SUMMARY Positions provide professional level analysis, evaluation, and consultation for Pegasus Steel's records management systems. Responsibilities may include assisting in the inventory, evaluation, and recommendation of proper record systems; writing procedures and providing training to users; conducting records inventories; interviewing department staff; and documenting procedures used to create records retention schedules.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Performs electronic scanning, hardcopy books and filing of Build Books for various projects.
    • Reviews records retention schedules and governmental recordkeeping requirements to determine timetables for transferring active records to inactive or archival storage, for reducing paper records to electronic form, or for destroying obsolete or unnecessary records.
    • Audits records for completion, accuracy, signage, and dates.
    • Tracks missing records.
    • Manages record traceability (i.e. started, wip, completed, reviewed, and finalized) to track where records are being kept in process to completion.
    • Audits technical documentation for select customers.
    • Coordinates preparation and shipment of records packages to customers for at the end of select programs.
    • Provides comprehensive data packages to internal and external customers.
    • Performs Internal Quality Audits
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications

    KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • 5 years of Record Analyst experience required
    • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
    • Familiar with ISO9001:2008 Quality System
    • 3 year of auditing experience preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year working experience with Microsoft Office
    • JobBOSS experience preferred
    • Acceptable criminal background and previous employment reference checks
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or GED required; previous direct experience minimum, one to three years related experience preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Requires analytical knowledge; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical publications. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Quality Auditor certification preferred

    The work environment characteristics described here are typical to standard office setting with moderate noise levels and high level of activity. The work will mostly be in a climate-controlled environment with occasional work in plant/manufacturing environment.
