MACHINIST – Days – No Weekends
Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Day shift Machinist to join our team. Dimond Mowers is seeking a qualified, self-starter Machinist to enhance our first shift (M-Thurs 6:00am-4:30pm) production team. We are looking for someone who is skilled in processes and problem solving. We also need someone who pays particular attention to detail, and has the ability to read prints, and create results.
Key Roles
Performs checks on output.
Collaborate with others.
Inspect the finished product.
Attention to detail.
Ability to be cross trained on other machines as needed.
Responsibilities
- Producing high quality parts from metal using a state-of-the art laser table and brake presses.
- Reading prints for the product, adjusting the machine to control speed, material feed and path to make the cuts accurately.
- Ensuring the machine is set up properly with the correct tooling, works well and produces a quality product.
- Ensuring the machine is working at full capacity, stocked with needed materials, well-maintained.
- Performing checks on output
- Inspecting the finished product so that it is defect-free and ready for the next step of production on time.
- Maintaining Company's commitment to customer service, excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
- Collaborating with talented people from other departments.
- Ensuring efficiencies improved throughout the laser process.
- Includes metal fabrications, piece parts, hose and cable routings, and assemblies.
- Designs are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations.
- Designs are completed according to schedule.
- Designs and associated bills of material are accurate.
- Perform layout and design of new equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required.
2 years Laser table/Brake Press experience preferred.
Basic math skills preferred.
Location and Hours:
Location: 1000 Cherokee St
Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm
Days of Shift: Monday-Thursday
