    Description

    Continental Automotive Group is searching for a Hiring Specialist to join our team This fast-paced, team-focused, and dynamic position is responsible for coordinating the interviewing and hiring efforts company wide. The Hiring Specialist position is a great entry level position for individuals that are excited to pursue a career in the HR field. CAG does not require any prior HR experience (though it is preferred) as we are willing to train those who have a strong passion for assisting employees and department managers.

    The Continental Automotive Group is a locally-owned, family-operated company with locations in North/Central Austin, Dallas, and San Juan, TX. This includes Austin INFINITI, Austin Subaru, First Texas Honda, Mercedes-Benz of Austin, Continental Collision Center, Mercedes-Benz of San Juan, Audi San Juan, and Forest Lane Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

    Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
    • Processing applicants by: reviewing applications, conducting phone-screening interviews, coordinating and conducting in-person interviews, submitting background checks, and completing reference checks
    • Ability to review and manage high volumes of applications efficiently within our Applicant Tracking System (in low periods anywhere from >100 applications, in high periods 500+ applications).
    • Comfortable professionally communicating with applicants and department managers and maintaining timely responses to emails (approximately 100+ emails daily) and by phone call
    • Ability to take on additional projects as needed and multitask with recruiting responsibilities
    • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions throughout the company
    • Collaborating with management to determine staffing needs and create job postings based on the needs of that department
    • Placing ads to approved external recruiting sites
    • Making recommendations to company hiring managers
    • Following up on the interview process status as needed with both applicants and department managers
    • Following up with new hires to determine how they are settling into their new role
    • Staying current on the company's organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
    • Discretion and safeguarding of all confidential information
    • Traveling between the CAG locations as needed
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualities needed to succeed include:
    • Bilingual in both English and Spanish is required

    Requirements:
    • Must be able to work flexible hours
    • Type 45+ WPM
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year
    • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered
    Compensation:
    • Starting at $25 an hour
    Hours:
    • Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 7:00am-6:00pm.
    • This is a full-time position.
