The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Position Overview
- Formulates programs/groups for treatment and rehabilitation of psychiatric patients.
- Facilitates achieving the goals and objectives of discussion groups, activity groups, and patient health teaching groups.
- Performs routine patient care duties under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Intervenes with critical patients such as escalating of behavior, suicidal behavior, elopement and other emergency situations occurring.
- Performs admission procedures and monitors patients whose behavior may warrant use of special precautions.
- Counsels, instructs and provides support to patients in the performance of routine activities of daily living.
- Identifies and responds to patients in crisis, provides addictions related education and teaches life skills.
- Performs duties to enable the patient to integrate social skills within the framework of milieu therapy.
- Participates in unit based activities and continuing education activities.
