Job Summary:
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will require good accounting knowledge, intermediate Excel skills and the ability to work independently with a proactive approach. He/she will participate in day-to-day accounting transactions, month-end closing and annual auditing.
Job Description:
- Prepare and post journal entries related to daily cash transactions and routine accounting activities in SAP.
- Perform bank reconciliation and follow up on reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly cash forecasts and analyze variances between forecast and actual results.
- Analyze and reconcile Construction in Progress (CIP) accounts; support capitalization and project tracking.
- Record fixed asset depreciation, new asset additions and disposals, and maintain supporting schedules.
- Prepare prepaid expense reclassifications and amortization entries.
- Perform FX revaluation entries in accordance with established accounting policies.
- Support intercompany billing procedures by checking delivery status, monitoring intercompany transactions, and preparing month-end reclassification entries.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of assigned tasks.
- Special projects and ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience in corporate or public accounting environment.
- Knowledge of financial accounting principles (U.S. GAAP or IFRS)
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year close process.
- Hands-on experience using SAP is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluent in Mandarin is preferred but not required
