    The US affiliate of DISCO Corporation, DISCO Hi-Tec America, Inc. (DHA), based in San Jose, CA, is currently seeking applicants to join its Equipment Engineering/Field Service Engineering team as a Field Service Engineer in the Albuquerque, New Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona area.

    Travel Requirements

    Arizona

    • This position will require 40%-60% travel to local and regional customers in the Central Area. When not traveling, this position will be based in our office, located in Tempe, Arizona.

    New Mexico

    • This position will require limited local travel between our office in Rio Rancho and local customer sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform equipment installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at customer sites on DISCO grinding, dicing, and laser equipment.

    Independently troubleshoot through rigorous electrical/mechanical procedural sequences.

    Document analytical steps and root causes for internal teams and customers.

    Interact closely with customers to maintain relationships and provide reliable support onsite and offsite and training customers' personnel in servicing, maintenance, and operations of DISCO products.

    Handle various equipment elements, including robotics, cameras, electrical motor components, and software.

    Participate in DISCO corporate activities focusing on deeper thinking, value exchange, and constant improvement.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Strong aptitude and repair skills toward electro/mechanical components.

    Knowledge of common lab instrumentations, CAD drawings, electrical diagrams, MS Office, Windows software, and general computer programming.

    Knowledge of semiconductor processes, lasers fundamentals, or optics fundamentals.

    Knowledge of semiconductor industrial engineering and operations is an asset.

    Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline preferred.

    2-4 years of applicable working experience beneficial.

    Mechanical hands-on experience in HVAC, Automotive, or similar industries advantageous.

    Military experiences are welcome.

    Knowing Japanese language is an asset.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 30pounds.

    Position oneself to work on harder-to-reach areas on DISCO machines.

    Travel to and from customer sites and the office.

    Wear personal protective gear for extended periods.

    Interpersonal Skills:

    Strong team contributor with clear, concise, and timely communication skills.

    High self-motivation and ability to persevere under pressure.

    Salary Range

    • $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
