    The Opportunity

    We have exciting opportunities for outstanding individuals to join the Consor team as a Drainage Design Engineer working with our Drainage/H&H group As a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm, Consor is full of opportunities for career development. This position requires thorough knowledge of drainage and H&H design and engineering techniques. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to unique problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and company standards.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analysis and production of state and municipal H&H and/or drainage studies
  • Experience with drainage design software such as Geopak and ORD
  • Experience with H&H modeling software such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • Preparing design plans, calculations tables, reports opinion of probable cost and contract documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills working with team members
  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as roadway, structures, etc
  • Required Credentials

  • 1-3 years' experience in civil engineering
  • Experience with computer applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Civil 3D and HEC and SWMM applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to plan, schedule work and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to positively and effectively interact with people in all levels of organizations
  • Sound ethical character
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, from an accredited college/university
