    HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Syracuse, New York.

    This is a day shift opportunity in an acute care setting ideal for RTs who are confident working independently with minimal orientation.


    Position Overview:
    The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients in an acute care environment. Candidates must be comfortable performing a wide range of respiratory therapies and responding to emergent situations.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy

    Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy

    Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of continuous mechanical ventilation

    Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

    Perform pulmonary function testing

    Perform radial arterial punctures

    Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision


    Qualifications:
    Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy required

    Current New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist required

    Minimum of 2 years post–A.A.S. clinical acute care experience required

    Pediatric experience preferred

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Ability to function independently in a fast-paced acute care environment
