- Lead electron optics simulations to drive column architecture design improvements - Use simulations to drive new modes of column operation- Hands-on work operating and characterizing electron beam columns; collect data to validate simulations results- Bring up new columns guns and operate test fixtures- Ranims needed for column design: heat transfer vacuum high voltage electrostatics solid mechanics surface charging and beam trajectories
- Create system requirements error budgets tolerance analysis stack-ups and test plans
