Grant Writers to support current and future client needs. Grant-writing clients include public
school districts, higher education institutions, non-profit organizations, and other public-private
entities.
Overview
Qualifications are requested from professional, experienced grant writers. Metis's goal is to
identify a pool of qualified grant writers contracted on a project basis to assist clients in
pursuing government grants, primarily from federal agencies. Metis will consider qualified
contractors for one or more upcoming projects, depending on client needs, contractor
experience, and availability.
Requirements
The Grant Writers selected would serve as consultants to Metis Associates and help shape initial
program designs/grant concepts and produce, revise, and prepare draft and final proposals for
submission to government agencies on behalf of the firm's clients. The Grant Writer will meet
proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering from
other contributors. The Grant Writer will work closely with Metis senior leadership, team
members, and clients to submit funding proposals responsive to grant guidelines and deadlines.
Qualified contractors will have a demonstrated record of successful grant applications submitted
to federal agencies such as the US Department of Education, the US Department of Health and
Human Services, the US Department of Labor, the US Department of Justice, and the National
Science Foundation.
Candidates must have excellent organizational, research, and time management skills and the
ability to work independently and collaboratively. Candidates must demonstrate excellent
communication and interpersonal skills and have previous experience engaging effectively with
senior managers, researchers/evaluators, program-level leaders, and client delivery staff during
the proposal design, development, and review phases. Candidates should demonstrate solid
analytical and advanced writing skills.
