**Description**
**Job Summary:** Responsible for oversight of warehousing, space and volume planning, 3PL and lease contract management of storage and fulfillment needs for a broad range of products. This management role collaborates between various our client(TSI) departments, third party logistics providers (3PLs), raw material vendors, customers and manufacturing points to safeguard logistics and supply chain demands. This role also involves management of a team assembled to supply storage and facility needs for specialized programs and products. Additional activities include serving as a key SME for future site selection and or warehousing needs for a broad portfolio of services. This role will also manage the proper daily processing of distribution operations, success of new product introductions, help control costs and manage budgets, along with handling any non-conformance in quality of shipping and security of products.
**Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:**
Manage all permanent and temporary our client warehouse and distribution centers operated by internal personnel and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
+ Accountable for 14 major Distribution Facilities throughout the US along with various overflow/ satellite sites as needed
+ Management of a team of 5 to 6 direct reports
+ Responsible for a warehousing and services budget in excess of $60M
+ Accountable for procuring and managing all temporary warehouses as required due to volume spikes
Act as team leader / member for various projects across the network:
+ These projects will usually include members from other departments (Engineering, Customer Service, Call Center, Marketing, Sales, Planning, Transportation, IT, Sourcing, Sealy Plants, Tempur Plants, and Legal/HR)
+ Looking to develop a cross-functional solution for various problems or opportunities.
+ Hire, Manage, and develop talent within the team
Play a key role driving changes in the network through implementing standard work, making existing processes more efficient, looking for solutions to recurring problems, and building cross-functional teams to make these changes sustainable.
Serve as the major relationship conduit for 3PL services contracts
Serve as an industry insight leader to formulate strategic road map decisions related to future state growth opportunities. Key understanding of regional dynamics and capacity obstacles within the market related to warehousing and fulfillment.
Management of costs, lease terms, fluctuating product storage needs, and facility fit out requirements (inclusive of fire suppression, safety compliance, racking installation methods, and security needs)
Develop & execute continuous improvement initiatives by reducing overall logistics costs while maintaining high delivery service levels and posturing our clientfor future logistics optimization.
Prepare and manage basic logistics monitoring indicators, scorecards, and reporting tasks.
Identify and analyze critical gaps in the current model and develop solutions to eliminate or minimize said gaps.
Refine the Logistics/ Supply Chain strategy to adapt to current and future business needs while ensuring that customer service is integrated into decisions.
Communicate and provide guidance daily with the our clientManufacturing Plants, Distribution Centers and Corporate office relative to project milestones and process improvements
Represent and support Director of Logistics Optimization in corporate and regional meetings as requested
Support and supply chain guidance to various manufacturing teams and Directors of specific sites

**Requirements**
**Ideal Candidate Possesses These Attributes:**
Strong operational experience and knowledge; experience as an Operations or Distribution Center Manager is a plus.
Experience with third party logistics providers is required.
Experience with candidate selection and applying interviewing skills
Experience in commercial real estate agreements and building projects
Experience and understanding of execution in a labor contract environment is a plus
Flexible and adaptive management style and able to function cross-functionally in a dynamic retail environment
Attention to detail while understanding holistic impacts of decisions across a broad range of business entities
Ability to present project and operational results to executive leadership and other managers
Ability to travel

**Qualifications:**
Minimum of 5 years experience in distribution / logistics management required
Project management experience in distribution center / warehouse environments
Experience managing annual budgets. Managing multiple budget accounts simultaneously is preferred.
5+ years of leading cross functional teams
Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred
Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and familiar with Power BI applications
