Description
The Tactical Defense Systems Group works on air defense issues, in particular air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of United States Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defense.
In support of these efforts, the group operates airborne and ground-based testbeds composed of state-of-the-art instrumentation and sensors.A full-time engineer with a background in RF hardware and analog circuits is needed to assist with development, deployment, and support of test hardware and to assist with field test operations.
Job Description:
The candidate will be part of a small, flexible team that maintains, updates, upgrades, and operates several RF ground-based testbeds.
Specific tasking includes developing, building, and measuring analog circuits and RF hardware, utilizing test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, etc.) to verify testbed performance, and operating command-line Linux-based testbeds during test events.
