    About the Job

    Position Summary

    Works directly
    with the head coach, assistant coaches, director of operations, and director of external operations in the operation of Division I women's
    basketball program. Prepares for games, practices, alumni and donor functions, and any other special projects assigned.
    Breaks down
    and analyzes opponents as well as assists with self-analysis for head & assistant coaches.
    Assists in advancing the department's
    guiding principles, vision, and strategic plan including its commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, & social justice.
    Assists
    with student manager and male practice player program - identification, recruitment, hiring and scheduling of the student managers and male
    practice players.
    Keenly aware of Campus & Business Office policy/procedures and coaching staff adherence to policy/procedures and
    reconciliation of travel expenses of coaching staff members.
    Assists with in-person campus Recruiting visits-schedule & execution of
    the visit as well as assisting in other recruiting tasks as assigned/allowed by NCAA rules.
    Job

    Duties:
    20%-Offensive/defensive analysis (Self-Scout/Opponent Scout)
    Game and
    practice breakdowns - input our offensive data/terminology for games/practices.
    Opponents' games breakdowns - input data of
    opponents' games so we can identify the specific schemes they run as well as similar offenses to ours and how they handle
    it.
    Film study as assigned of both our games/practices as well as opponent
    games/personnel.
    15%-Player Development

    Assist with individual and group workouts that
    are held outside of full team practice times (as allowed by NCAA rules).
    Assist Coaches in preparing and simulating game like
    scenarios for players to work on mastering skills in individual/small group settings to prepare them for use in
    practices/games.
    15%- Game Day/Practice

    Responsible to assist Director of Video
    Services and Graduate Manager regarding setup for each day in terms of equipment, practice players/managers, practice script pass out,
    etc.
    Assist as assigned in practice/games regarding recording notes, helping with practice execution, or tracking stats as
    assigned (and as allowed by NCAA rules).
    10% Responsible for Office
    Organization

    Ensures compliance and adherence policy & procedures with financial reports, purchases,
    reconciliation, etc.
    Other related duties as assigned by the coaches or director of
    operations.
    15%-Creates and Executes On-Campus Recruiting (Unofficial/Official) Experience for
    Prospects.

    Assist women's basketball coaching staff in recruiting with organization of recruiting
    events.
    At the direction of the recruiting coordinator, assists with the planning and execution of on-campus recruiting
    visits, game-day visits, and financial reconciliation of the recruiting activity at the conclusion.
    At the direction of the
    recruiting coordinator may be assigned other recruiting tasks as allowed by NCAA rules.
    15%- Alumni & Community
    Outreach

    Assist with Little Gophers program; including but not limited to clinic, letters,
    etc.
    Develop & maintain a comprehensive data base of Alumni, student managers, former coaching staff and assist Director of
    External Operations with the development of an appropriate cadence for connecting with them.
    Assist in the execution of an
    annual or bi-annual Alumni day/weekend.
    Work with the Director of Strategic Operations on events/mailings as
    assigned.
    10%- Other

    Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Associate Head
    Coach/Staff.
    Qualifications


    Qualifications:
    Education/Experience

    Required:
    Bachelor's Degree
    Two years of coaching experience (Collegiate level preferred), advanced computer
    skills, film and scouting experience, and knowledge of NCAA rules required.

    Preferred:

    Problem solving skills:
    able to multi-task in a fast-past environment; self-motivated and reliable. Also preferred to have collegiate level playing
    experience.
