    PART-TIME BUS DRIVER

    Position Summary

    Holy Cross School seeks an experienced Bus Driver to transport children from predetermined pick-up locations and safely transport them to and from campus. The Bus Driver will be expected to provide transportation for field trips throughout the day as well as occasionally transporting athletic teams to and from athletic competitions.

    The Bus Driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

    Work Schedule

    Bus Drivers work on a part-time basis Monday through Friday and may require occasional evenings and weekends. This position is a twelve-month position.

    Qualifications
     High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum of 5 years' experience preferred.
     Must have Louisiana Class B commercial license or higher.
     Must have School Bus Endorsement
     Must have Passenger Endorsement
     Air Brake endorsement preferred.
     Must have a current CDL medical card.
     Must have excellent driving record.
     Must pass extensive background check.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    Major areas of responsibility include:
     Perform pre-check inspection of bus before departures.
     Perform post-check inspection of bus at conclusion of return.
     Fill out inspection books and submit to Transportation manager quarterly.
     Safely transport students to AM/PM pick up and drop off locations.
     Safely transport students to and from athletic events and field trips.

    Compensation
    Compensated per trip. This position is part time and does not provide benefits.
