    Description

    As a Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative and commercially creative textiles, aligning with current technical capabilities. Collaboration across the team, including sales, is key to success in this role.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and revise designs in accordance with the annual Creative Direction, established by the Creative Director.

    Maintain art and inspiration files encompassing concepts for the total bed, including panel, border, and cover design.

    Cultivate an 'open file' of individual concepts and design ideas for creative freedom development.

    Collaborate closely with the R&D Knit manager to devise alternative design solutions and address technical challenges.

    Work in tandem with design colleagues and the R&D Knit manager to tackle design issues creatively.

    Prepare diligently for all working sessions, product reviews, and kick-off meetings.

    Adhere to timelines and schedules for deliverables as outlined in the creative brief.

    Customer Specific Responsibilities:

    In supporting the company's success, drive top-line growth through effort, solutions, and customer engagement.

    Develop compelling concepts and designs aligned with the aesthetics and technical requirements of customers' design briefs.

    Evaluate constructions and select those offering the highest visual appearance of value and quality.

    Adjust designs to meet target cost parameters, collaborating closely with the R&D Knit manager.

    Revise designs or develop new concepts based on customer feedback.

    Create compelling digital presentations for customer-facing product reviews.

    Author and maintain customer presentation files, detailed meeting notes, and design development walls.

    Adhere to customer- timelines and schedules for deliverables outlined in the design brief.

    Collaborate with assigned sales agents, R&D Knit manager, Creative Director, and customers as required to achieve successful outcomes.

    WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Advanced understanding of circular knitting machines and jacquard constructions.

    Proficient knowledge of circular knit and machine capabilities, as well as jacquard fabric and weave constructions.

    Strong artistic background with skills in creating original art, hand-drawing, and illustration.

    Ability to translate art into easily repeatable patterns.

    Advanced skills in EAT (including Layer Editor), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and 3-D rendering.

    General knowledge of AI generating software and prompt creation.

    Highly organized and time-oriented, capable of efficiently completing multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.

    Effective communication skills with a proactive approach to follow-up.

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of quality, detail, and accuracy.

    Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design.
