    QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Systems Engineer, Hydra API to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics (PM IS&A). This position is in direct support to the Systems Engineering Team.


    Duties:

    • Serves as the Technical Engineering Lead for the Hydra Application Programming Interface (API) across all the PM IS&A products.
    • Works with the various vendors on implementing client and server aspects of the API.
    • Works with the systems engineering division and product teams to verify & validate implementation through various test events.
    • Recommends changes, works with the community to define them along with second / third order effects, and help the government retain configuration control of the interface.
    • Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define the system of systems exchanges and build out high-level architecture products.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Requires an understanding of the many sources of intelligence the Army's systems process and the products that are derived from them.
    • Experience in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission area.
    • Experience with the use and testing of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) software systems.

    Required Clearance:

    • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: TS/SCI

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, System, Software or Computer Engineering; Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
    • At least ten (10) years of software engineering or designing software/IT systems for the DoD is required.

    Travel:

    Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

    Work Environment:

    This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.

    Physical demands of this position include ability to:

    • Be independently mobile.
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
    • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
