    The Collaborative Apps & Platforms (CAP) organization is responsible for creating the M365 collaboration tools including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Mesh.

    This global engineering and design organization has complex resource and hardware needs including asset planning, management, and oversight.

    The Asset Procurement Specialist role is responsible for the physical resources management plan and process, including forecasting hardware, inventory and peripherals management, process development and improvement, and cross-functional communication.

    This role requires someone who has proficiency with a broad range of skills related to hardware management, handling, and optimization.

    They should be adaptable, proactive, positive, with communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

    They should work well both independently and as part of a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency in planning and time management.

    Responsibilities

    The Asset Procurement Specialist is accountable for the CAP organization's hardware portfolio (excluding device testing lab) and responsible for overseeing and executing the management, planning, and processes related to physical resources.

    This includes managing physical assets and peripherals, distributing, ordering, and maintaining stock of standard equipment, and procuring non-standard equipment as required by the business.

    The Specialist ensures that all assets are properly tracked and maintained and can provide minor repairs to equipment and re-imaging viable returned computers for reuse.

    Additionally, the Specialist assists with planning and forecasting the hardware budget, manages and tracks all spending within the set budget, and handles equipment setup and returns for incoming and outgoing team members.

    The Specialist is also responsible for driving process development and improvements within the scope of the role and should posses written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including admins, engineers, finance, and business operations.

    The Specialist should demonstrate a knowledge of computers, peripherals, and cable identification.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 years Administrative, Business Support, and/or customer service experience.
    • 1 years of experience with hardware management, asset tracking, invoicing, Purchase Order (PO) management, vendor management, and time management.

    Additional or Preferred Qualifications

    • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communications).
    • Ability to create positive relationships and collaborate across a broad group of stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.
    • Enjoys working in fast-paced; sometimes ambiguous environment.
    • High integrity, a can-do spirit, and a passion to learn.
    Business Support ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $ $39.66 per hour.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $ $45.91 per hour.
