As an off-price retailer we generate more than $9B in sales through our nationwide network of stores.

    The Manager of Budget and Forecast Management's primary responsibility is to plan and forecast store payroll to drive sales growth and profitability goals for the company. The role oversees the entire lifecycle of store payroll, ranging from annual payroll budgeting and wage planning to efficient weekly payroll allocation. In addition to store payroll, the manager will manage the AP product sourcing yearly budget.

    A Day in the Life

  • Lead annual payroll expense planning process and align non-exempt payroll, exempt payroll, field and corporate positions, with the sales plans that drive workload needs.

  • Facilitate weekly and monthly payroll forecast updates with Senior Management and Finance including variance explanations, flag risks and opportunities and make recommendations as needed

  • Stay aligned with business partners across the organization (Central Planning, Supply Chain, Asset Protection, Finance) so that the budget and forecast are utilizing the latest business assumptions

  • On an ad-hoc basis, develop business cases to fund strategic initiatives; secure EVP/SVP approvals and alignment should the overall budget needs change due to updated workload or non-workload drivers

  • Utilize business intelligence and competitive insights for opportunities to continue improving resource allocations; including automation and innovation within current processes, reporting and controls

  • Conduct coaching-in-the-moment, engagement and associate development; recognize and rewarding the successes of others; and attract, develop and retain the next generation of leaders

    You Come With

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering or other analytical field

  • 5+ years of experience in a financial analysis combined leadership role

  • Experience managing direct reports

  • Ability to present to leadership up to C-Level

  • Retail industry experience preferred but not required

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
